Paramount Resources Ltd is an independent, intermediate Canadian energy company.
The company explores for, develops, produces, and markets natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. Paramount also holds securities of public and private entities, including Trilogy Energy Corp., MEG Energy Corp., and MGM Energy Corp.
The company's heavy oil assets were spun off into a 100% owned subsidiary, Cavalier Resources Inc in January 2012.
As of August 2017, Paramount reported volumes of 18,367 Boepd, including approximately 12,700 Boepd from Karr-Gold Creek. Liquids sales revenue totaled $45.4 million.
On August 9, 2017, Paramount acquired Apache Canada for $459.5 million.
On September 12, 2017, the company acquired Trilogy Energy Corp.
