Kimbell Royalty Partners, LP (KRP) is an oil and gas mineral and royalty master limited partnership based in Fort Worth, Texas. KRP is managed by its general partner, Kimbell Royalty GP, LLC. The company filed to go public in early 2017.

The firm started out as a handhsake agreement between Ft Worth oilmen the company Kimbell Royalty Partners has now grown from a single investment in the Permian Basin to one of the largest private owners of minerals, royalties and overriding royalty interests nationwide.

Since 1998, the company has invested ~$600mm and own interests in ~48,000 wells covering 4.5 mm acres in 20 states.

The company filed an S1 on February 3, 2017 offering 5.0 mm common units at $18 per common unit under the sticker KRP. At the conclusion of the offering the public wiill own 30-35% of the company.
