The company imports crude oil from the Middle East, the Far East and indigenous sources.

The company operates in three segments: Refinery, Marketing, and Renewables.

The company also owns 81% of Nido Petroleum, a publicly-listed E&P company on the Australian exchange with a focus on southeast Asia. Nido owns a substantial interest in the Galoc oil field in the Philippines.

Bangchak is a state-owned company and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
