Amplify Energy Corp (formerly Memorial Production Partners) is engaged in the acquisition, production and development of oil and natural gas properties in the United States.

The company's assets consist primarily of producing oil and natural gas properties and are located in South Texas (Eagle Ford, Eagleville, NE Thompsonville, Laredo and East Seven Sisters Fields); offshore California (Beta properties, 22 MMBoe, plus a pipeline); Rockies (Lost Soldier and Wertz, Sweetwater, Carbon C., WY); and East Texas/Louisiana (Carthage, Willow Springs, East Henderson).

Amplify has total estimated proved reserves of 1.2 Tcfe, of which approximately 62% were liquids and 72% were classified as proved developed properties

On January 16, 2017, Memorial Production Partners filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The financial restructuring is expected to eliminate more than $1.3 billion of debt from the Partnership's balance sheet.

On May 5, 2017, the company successfully completed its restructuring and emerged from Chapter 11 as a new corporation under the name Amplify Energy Corp.
