Strike Energy Limited is an active oil and gas exploration and production company. We have major unconventional (shale oil and gas) and conventional development projects in Australia and the USA.

Strike Energy was established in 1997 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2004 (ticker: STX). The company is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and has offices in Sydney, New South Wales (corporate office) and Houston, Texas (USA operations base). Strike is focused on Australia and the USA because of the experience, technical capability and relationships that we have in these markets.

In Australia, Strike has more than four million net acres (over 16,000 km2) of Cooper Basin exploration permits and applications. The Cooper Basin is Australia’s most prolific onshore oil and gas region and is now recognized for its unconventional potential. Our permit areas are known to contain vast hydrocarbon bearing shale, coal and sand formations. We are pursuing an active exploration program to prove-up the commercial value of this massive potential resource. Strike also has in excess of 250,000 net acres (over 1,000 km2) of prospective permit areas within the Caernarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia.

In the USA, Strike holds over 8,000 net acres within the high-profile Eagle Ford Shale, onshore Texas. The Eagle Ford Shale is the USA’s most sought after unconventional hydrocarbon play due to the high liquids recovery rates and strong economics. We are engaged in an exploration and evaluation program to demonstrate the commercial potential of our acreage. Also in the USA, Strike has conventional exploration and production assets on the Gulf Coast in Texas. We have existing production and a strong pipeline of medium and large liquids and gas prospects.
