Plains All American Pipeline, L.P., is a publicly traded master limited partnership that owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure and provides logistics services for crude oil, natural gas liquids, natural gas and refined products.

Plain All American Pipeline's subsidiaries include Plains Marketing, L.P., Plains Pipeline, L.P., PAA Natural Gas Storage, L.P. and Pacific Energy Group LLC.

Plains All American Pipeline LP is currently financially backed by StonePeak Infrastructure Partners, First Reserve, and EnCap Flatrock Midstream.

Plains All American Pipeline was previously backed by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors with an initial investment in June 2001 and was realized in May 2009. Plains was also previously backed by Encap Investments; In December 2009, Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: OXY) purchased EnCap’s General Partner interest in PAA.
